One unit, so the invoice is a multiplication

Every core Sauce Labs plan carries unlimited users and unlimited testing minutes, and the only quantity you choose is how many parallel slots you want, from 1 to 24. That makes the annual cost a single multiplication you can put in a budget request, which is not true of a BrowserStack estimate that has to guess at headcount growth on Live, parallel growth on Automate, and whatever App Automate and Percy turn out to cost. Predictability is a soft benefit right up to the renewal meeting, where it becomes the whole argument.

Manual testing stops being rationed

Per-user pricing quietly changes behaviour: teams share logins, or they simply stop giving designers and support engineers access, and bugs that a five-minute Safari session would have caught go to a developer instead. At $39 a month for a Live parallel with unlimited users, Sauce Labs removes that decision. From the second manual tester onward it is cheaper than BrowserStack Live Desktop, and the gap widens with every person you would otherwise have left out.

Unlimited minutes protect long suites
